Brave Hearts for Strong Minds continues to support local Southeastern Pennsylvania children who have lost a loved one with 529 Education Plan funds.
As we acknowledge 10 years of being brave, our Board of Directors had a hard choice in selecting our 2022 recipients. We had many deserving families nominated this year, but we are proud to announce that we will be supporting three children this year and two families.
Join us in raising funds for Dennis Dotzman, Gabriella Wajda, and Liam Wajda. While celebrating the lives of their fathers Andrew Dotzman and Christopher Wajda on June 18, 2022.

The Dotzman Family
Andrew passed away in August 2021, at the age of 37 from Brain Cancer leaving behind his wife, Denise, and young son, Dennis. He was unexpectedly diagnosed in May of 2020 and fought a hard battle. A graduate of Plymouth-Whitemarsh HS, he was a generous and humble individual. He enjoyed the community and was part of several local Norristown and Conshohocken organizations.
The Wajda Family
Christopher Wajda passed away suddenly in February 2020 at the age of 47. A cancer survivor, Chris beat Stage 2 Testicular Cancer in November 2019. He was found in the family’s home after experiencing a sudden cardiac episode. He adored his two children, and he passed on several interests including meteorology and shot put to both Gabriella and Liam. He was a graphic designer, artist, painter, and Track and Field Coach.
Together with our community, we hope that we will be able to provide the support that these families need not only financially for their 529 education plans, but emotionally through the gathering of our community at the Annual Walk. Learn more about our walk and how to register by clicking here.
