I would like to pay by cash or check, not a credit card. How do I do that? If individuals want to send a check or cash instead of paying online, you can enter their information on our donation page and select “Donate with Offline Donation.” Money orders and checks can be sent to PO Box 564, Fort Washington, PA 19034 made payable to Brave Hearts for Strong Minds. Can I bring my children? Yes, absolutely! We will have some kid-specific activities, and our walk will be child-friendly.
Do I have to run/walk? Not at all! The walk is a casual, family-friendly event at Chestnut Hill College (9601 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118)!
Where do donations go? Funds raised are used to support education funds for a chosen family that has lost a parent. For 2024, we are supporting Karter Maria-Evans and Samantha Zappariello. After each year, a new family is (or families are) chosen, and the previous family is asked to help set up and run the event to “pay it forward.” If you know of a family that could benefit from our organization, please have them apply by clicking here. We will be sure to contact them once the application is received.
How long is the walk? The walk can be as long as you want to make it!
I cannot walk but would like to fundraise. Is that possible? Yes! You are more than welcome to register and encourage others to donate without walking.
What time does it start? We will begin activities promptly at 10:00 AM at Chestnut Hill College (9601 Germantown Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19118). Registration opens at 9:00 AM.
Do I have to register online? We encourage everyone to register online before our event on June 15, 2024. Pre-registration closes on May 24, 2024, which guarantees a t-shirt. Online registration will stay open until June 14, 2024, and in-person registration is available on the day of registration, but t-shirts are not guaranteed.
What if it rains? We are going to hold the event, rain or shine!
