Jen Philling

Jennifer Pilling

Board Member

Jennifer Pilling joined the board several years ago because the mission of the organization struck a personal chord.  When she was 8 years old she lost her father in a tragic and sudden accident.  The idea of helping families, and specifically the children of families, affected by the loss of a parent really hit home.  Professionally, Jen has worked in business development for over 20 years.  She is currently the Managing Director of Business Development for TeamAltemus, a startup dedicated to educating collegiate and professional athletes around financial literacy.  She lives in Fort Washington and is married with two teenage sons, Jack and Alex, and a Goldendoodle named Dasher.

Matthew DiGiacomo, Jr.

Youth Representative (Non-Voting)

In 2014, Matthew and his siblings were the recipients of the 3rd Annual Walk. After losing his Dad in 2011, moving forward was not always easy, but with the support of his family, friends, and Brave Hearts, it has been a little easier. Matthew has dedicated himself to becoming the best student and athlete, working to pay forward the kindness shown to him. He is currently a junior at Daniel Boone High School, playing varsity basketball since his freshman year, and plans to pursue college after graduation.
