Hello BHSM Family and Friends,
Thank you for your support of Brave Hearts for Strong Minds (BHSM)! Your support and generosity is the reason we’ll be coming together as a community to help another family in need at our 7th Annual Event on June 15th at Fort Washington State Park in Flourtown, PA.
A few weeks ago, we had the honor of meeting the Cunningham family (children Kerrilyn (11), Devon (10), CJ (8), Sean (3), pictured below) who tragically and suddenly lost their father, Clinton, to a brain aneurysm at the young age of 37. Clinton had served as a police officer in both Philadelphia and most recently Newtown Square. He was a decorated officer who served his community with pride. He loved his family wholeheartedly and put them above all else.
Clinton personified everything that prompted the community to start Brave Hearts for Strong Minds. He was a loving, supportive man, who gave his all to his children and the community. We cannot possibly hope to heal the hole in the Cunningham family’s hearts but we can offer the untiring and compassionate support of our community and also help to provide Kerrilyn, Devon, CJ, and Sean the education their father would have wanted for them.
Walker registration for our event on June 15th is now open and you can register online by clicking here. If you are unable to attend please consider donating or sponsoring our event. All donations go directly to the children’s 529 education savings plans and will help them achieve their dreams.
We thank you for your loyalty and generosity to all of our recipient children! We are extremely grateful for your support and know that we can count on you to help another family in their time of need. Your unconditional embrace of those who are new to BHSM strengthens the bonds of our community and encourages our new members to follow your generous lead in donating to our cause, sponsoring the event, or volunteering.
THANK YOU again! Keep checking your email and our social media channels for updates about the event and walker registration.
All the best,
The BHSM Executive Team
