Join us this Father’s Day in remembering the many brave fathers, living and those no longer with us.
Traditionally, on the weekend of Father’s Day, Brave Hearts for Strong Minds gathers as a community to celebrate and raise 529 education funds for our recipient children. This year though we will not be gathering until September 18, 2021, to ensure our walk is able to be held while respecting COVID-19 restrictions. We did not want this important weekend for our organization to go unmentioned.
This year, our annual walk will remember two amazing fathers: Joe Nocero and Andy Phillips. With your support, we will be granting 529 education funds to Nico Nocero, Aidan Phillips, and Andrew Phillips. Read more about the families by clicking here.
It is also important that we take a minute to remember the father that led to the start of our organization, Tom Reilly. Tom was a man who gave his all to the community and in his honor, BHSM was started in 2012. Without his influence, we would not have been able to continue his tradition of care for others. We also remember Matthew DiGiacomo (2014), Mario Carlo (2015), Jack Lyons (2016), Michael Hensley (2016), Mark Maholick (2018), and Clinton Cunningham (2019), whose children and families continue to help us pay it forward to those that have lost a parent. We also celebrate Dan Moher, as he and his children support the organization in memory of his wife Amanda (2020).
Our goal is to raise $5,000 towards Nico, Aidan, and Andrew’s 529 Plans.
The fundraiser will start now and end on June 21, 2021. Help us support the Nocero and Phillip families. Donations can be dedicated to a father or father figure in your life.
