I would like to pay by cash or check, not a credit card. How do I do that? If individuals want to send a check or cash instead of paying online, you can enter their information on our donation page and select “Donate with Offline Donation.” Money orders and checks can be sent to PO Box 564, Fort Washington, PA 19034 made payable to Brave Hearts for Strong Minds. Thank you!

Can I bring my children? Yes, absolutely! We will have some kid-specific activities, and our walk will be child-friendly.

Do I have to run/walk? Not at all! The walk is a casual, family-friendly event!

Where do donations go? Funds raised are used to support education funds for a chosen family that has lost a parent. Our 2026 recipients are Kiera Dougherty, Dilan Dougherty, Emilia Hugenbruch, and Eloise Hugenbruch! After each year, a new family (or families) is chosen, and the previous family is asked to “pay it forward.” If you know of a family that could benefit from our organization, please have them apply by clicking here. We will be sure to contact them once the application is received.

How long is the walk? The walk can be as long as you want to make it! But it is about one mile in length and does have some inclines.

I cannot walk, but would like to fundraise. Is that possible? Yes! You are more than welcome to register and encourage others to donate without walking. You can also come and enjoy the activities without walking.

What time does it start? We will begin walking around 10:00 AM at Chestnut Hill College (9601 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19118). Registration opens at 9:00 AM. Children’s activities will be set up and available at 9:30 AM.

Do I have to register online? Registration is not open just yet, but there will be in-person registration for our 14th Annual Walk on June 20, 2026!

What if it rains? We are going to hold the event, rain or shine!

What is the address of the site? Chestnut Hill College, 9601 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19118.
